DepEd RO1 supports One QMS

The Department of Education Regional Office I supports the National Quality Management System (NQMS) with the theme “Establishing a One DepEd, One QMS for Improved Service and Better Client by attending the NQMS Orientation last February 7 via Zoom. The said activity aimed to orient the Regional Office and Schools Division Offices on DepEd NQMS. The NQMS aims to integrate the Department’s internal processes, upgrade people capacity, ensure consistency in the delivery of quality services, and foster continuous process improvement that will result in enhanced and sustained client satisfaction.
Further, the Regional Office has scheduled series of workshop activities for the review and harmonization of processes in DepEd Regional Office I. These activities aimed to harmonize the current processes of the different Functional Divisions/Units/Sections in DepEd RO1 with the declared processes in the QMS Manual.
Participants to the said activities are the Chiefs of the different Functional Divisions, Heads of Units/Sections and assigned Document Controllers per Functional Divisions/Units/Sections.
Likewise, the Office has issued a Memorandum on the Reconstitution of DepEd RO1 Quality Management Teams (QMS) teams which is composed of the Top Management headed by the Regional Director, Tolentino G. Aquino, Quality Management Representative (QMR), QMS Secretariat, QMS Teams which includes Risk Management Team, Knowledge Management Team, Training and Advocacy Team, Quality Workplace Team, and Internal Quality Audit Team. The QMR is headed by the Assistant Regional Director Ronald B. Castillo. Dr. Edwina M. Manalang was the designated Focal Person of the Region in the National Quality Management System.
